2012-Doctor WhoThe Controller of BBC ONE, Danny Cohen has confirmed that there will not be a full series of Doctor Who in 2012. Apparently series 7 will be split across 2012 and 2013, in time for the 50th Anniversary. If so, then Doctor Who series 7 will conclude on Saturday 23rd November 2013.

Luckily, Matt Smith will definetely be returning for series 7, during these 14 episodes. The BBC Insider said that Matt Smith would stay until the 50th Anniversary, which seems quite likely to me, which would mean the 50th will end in excitement. It is not confirmed that Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will reprise their roles as the newly young weds Amy Pond and Rory Williams. It seems likely that they won’t return next year, since rumours have been spreading about them having a major fallout and being killed off. But they might return for the 50th Anniversary.

Daleks On Holiday

Lead Writer and Executive Producer Steven Moffat, has said “It’s time to give the Daleks a rest,” because the Doctor’s beaten them “about 400 times”. He also said that they will come back soon, but in a big way.
